In the midst of analysing International Marketing case study for tomorrow's exam~

Application is SO interesting and yet CHALLENGING.....no clues no tips no guidelines no past years and have to figure out all the possible questions that will be asked tomorrow~

Tonnes of researches...models for analysis...market reports...
Suddenly feel like that I'm so tiny and small, shallow in terms of knowledge.....facing borderless ocean....overwhelmed by uncertainties, yet eagerness of jumping into the knowledge ocean~^o^

My Meals in Liverpool~

I've been here almost 2 months and
I guess my family has got no idea what I ate here.
I just used to tell them that
we often grab cheap (ie. almost expired food) late at night
from Tesco...
(but i think the standard of Expired goods here is far more
EDIBLE compared to those of our.....
so called "Bolehland" by my blog visitor : P

(to prove that I'm actually eating quite healthily here lol)

I've applied Project Management's Principle:
TCQ (Time, Cost, Quality)
in managing my "Meal Project".
The simplest,fastest, quality,healthy and cost effective
Breakfast~corn flakes+milk!!
.......46p of 500g corn flakes can tahan for about 2 weeks......
....1.25P of 2.272 litres whole milk for 1 week (where it cost only 1P now:)...

Not used to eat English breakfast so much...
Used to be a cup of honey then a cup of milk when I was in college time.
Decided to try this Scottish Porridge Oats as
I tasted a nice one in Edinburgh's breakfast last weekend:)
hmm...creamy porridge oats....but tasteless compared to Edinburgh's
Have looked for raisins too but too bad
it costs 99p for 1 packet of raisins and nuts
( whereas 500g of oats costs only 39p!)
Suan le.....i added Rich Tea biscuit...pretty nice~

Another companion of Ding Ding Fan is Dan Dan Noodles (担担面)
Same cooking method as Maggi but to me it seems like
"Not so MSG" laa haha... around 0.74P for 1 packet (2 meals)

And during exam we usually back to our own kitchen to cook
instead of doing the "catering" stuff: P

and this is the very 1st PROPER meal i've cooked in my LIFE!!!
excluding those instant stuff microwave stuff oven stuff~

Not to say I don't wana cook at home but 1stly
time constraint is the very main reason (it's NOT an excuse ok..)
and 2ndly my mum keep teasing me since I have broken an egg
onto myself instead of into the pan years ago...and whenever
talking bout kitchen stuff a sure thing is the "incident" will be raised :S

lol...mummy daddy...and my brothers...
who say I cannot cook??I'm happily enjoying cooking here: D
with much of freedom and I don't mind failures
as mistakes are all good training and education
hmm...I think making mistakes are more practical to me lol...

and the 2nd Masak was Lasagne

Surprisingly we couldn't find proper FISH here!
I thought Liverpool is nearby the sea but
there is generally NO FRESH FISH SOLD in Liverpool

except those frozen fried one : (


and the varieties of vegetables are
not as many as in our home country
No Kangkung
No Bitter Gout
No Pumpkin
No cheap tomatoes
No cheap Tauhu...
Can see my repetitive mixcrossed combination of menus
but 1 sure thing is I will take vege and fruits everyday

and I do have dessert too...hehe

Haagen-Dazs!!!
Have been longing since I'm in secondary...
Didn't try it out before cz it was so damn expensive....
costs about RM29 in Msia...wanted to try it before coming to UK but
what I've seen from KLCC's Haagen-Dazs is RM8 for
1 tiny scoop of FISHBALL size!!!!lol!
Heheh it costs only about
RM18 for the same in Tesco here during promotion~


Know how I eat it?
Take out 1 scoop, put into my mouth
and at the same time immediately keep it back to the freezer~
haha...kinda "torturing" huh: P
I only eat it when I really need a recharge hee~

以前只要跟着课本回答 不必加什么延伸阅读
考试基本上就可以应对
偏偏我本人
最讨厌就是这种考试方法
这根本就是考人脑的记忆力 绝非知识的掌握与应用能力
这次国际市场学这科 讲师已经说了
写多少Theory也没用 要的是Application

完全没有头绪会问什么问题
不过
我却爽到乱:P
终于 可以稍微测试一下

自己的真功夫到底能够 stretch到什么程度~

讲师很帅 讲话也超快
我的笔记 都四分五裂了
借给不同的人 一时之间也不懂谁打谁

幸好朋友们很会做人 赶快抄了还我
免得我得向AIG投保我的笔记（Joyce她们讲的: P）

好笑的是
今天msn上 不约而同
有两个人 很坦白地问我其实介不介意把笔记借给那么多人抄
呵呵
以前在塔尔的时候 我一定很介意的咯
不是说那么巴闭不能借人 而是那些人不但自己翘课或不专心睡觉
就是借了我的笔记 没有好好保管到处走到处放
害得我提心吊胆 有时宁愿巴闭一点

每次回家投诉 家人总有两套不同的说法
我爸时常讲“不~要管人家，自己做好就好”（哈哈语气也学他的）

我妈时常说“帮得就帮咯”

所以

我现在也很记得：毕竟人在外国 大家出来就是靠朋友了
那几个字 又不会少掉我几块肉几英镑
更何况 知识的驾取是在于人的能力
如果那么介意分享知识 那么我以后根本就不配当个讲师

。
来这里上课 深深感受到平常用功的好处
虽然在科技发达的时代里仍旧把生字注解抄进笔记本看似很多余很闷很傻
但是能够在Ang Mo讲师的Lecture里
听得懂他的slang兼以媲美他授课速度的抄写速度抄下讲义
那感觉真的很妙 那些曾经学过的字眼一个个浮现
要不是平常坚持努力会带来成果的信念
又怎能在笔记的高速公路上飙得那么痛快
像舒马克一样 让对手们望尘莫及~

难~以形容的快感

说晒命也好炫耀也好
也是有Risk的 万一之前两科考得不好
一个自负狂所谓的快感将成为天大笑柄
不过我还是选择把现在的想法和心情记下来
因为我知道 将来有太多的貌似不可能的任务
有待挑战
而可以依赖的导航的

就是自己最有力的Past Experience了

Knowing that it's abit unrealistic...and somehow wasting time doing Facebook tests, but some tests do make you think of something.....just like this one:

Hmmm....It sounds familiar, where I discussed this with Chyi Chern who visited me in Liverpool few days ago...Some of us live for dreams...Some of us live for branded and luxurious stuff...Some of us live for helping the others....(and wth some of us might live for EXAMS lol)
What's the purpose of life? I'm doubt on it...perhaps one day whoever finds it could make the world better....

I haven't find my customised Metaphor yet. All I know is to try my best not to dissappoint my parents, and then to be independent enough physically, financially and emotionally before I realised my very own ideal life.

And the phrase Life is like a Classroom reminds me on every single minute and efforts spent on "R&D" (Not gonna interprete it further....keep quiet and laugh yourself if you know what i mean my dear Sistas : P)

But at the moment, LIFE IS EXAMS! As I will be away for Edinburgh this weekend and Lake District next weekend + I'm pretty hungry now, I'm gonna start slowly digesting the stack of texts now...

Kiasus' Rocks~

I used to be "Not-So-Hardworking" as I don't normally being so Kiasu to fight for books in the library. Maybe I am too used to rely on internet resources. Or I'm just not too believe that the results will be greatly affected just because I couldn't get the recommended text.
( But it doesn't mean I don't like to hide in a corner in library. I LOVE reading course unrelated books such as DESIGN without borrowing them back home~costless to me but they're quite Dirty~)

But today, somehow I don't know what drives me so hardworking, and also KIASU, we had an Amazing Race (as what Janette said) almost running towards Avril Robarts to fight for books!
There are in total 3 groups of Kiasus including us move like bullet trains or torpedos right after class to the resource centre, and it seems like we just spent like... 5 or less than 10 minutes walk (*run) from John Foster Building to Avril Robarts near Atlantic Point!!! (which usually take us about 30minutes walk from our accomodation to our university and vice versa / 40minutes walk when we 1st arrive lol)...

Useless to be Kiasu, as there is only 1 BOOK, and the request now is about 19 REQUESTS....21 days loan per book, so...haha...suddenly I realize that we were so *cute...lol...so we just Grab the other books.....as Marketing is a totally new subject for me, have to grab all the basic one til the sophisticated one~have to read and digest 8 books within 2 weeks (2 weeks later exam AGAIN)....lol I've not been doing so when I'm in TARC~but i think I'm just not that real hardworking lo.....somehow I just playing around, enjoying the feeling and experience of speeding like mad, then carry the 8 thick books back look exactly like good student (*nerd): P....

Well, I've been here for 37 days and 50 days more to go...Shall experience whatever it is new, special and unusual for me in Msia...Just finished exam for Strategic Human Resource Management last Friday...and this round the exam for International Marketing is an open-book exam, have no idea how will it be....
.

Was calculating average daily expenses for food just now for the past 37 days, and it costs me about 2.8Pounds for food each day, inclusive of 1 yummy Haagen-Dazs ice-cream which i dreamt for long and 3 times Lobster Pot meals (it's fish n chips not the real lobster ok)....so it's around RM17 per day in average for the past 37 days...I know daddy will sure mumbling that why am I still kept converting and calculating hehe...but I treat it as a challenge for me to MANAGE my life, and it's fun when we compare our costs details with other so it improves our "AUNTY" skills in the future (which I appreciate it much as a training).....maybe sooner or later I can start managing my house's expenses too~
(And to my extreme I think I might start using EXCEL Spreadsheet and start breaking down my expenses Item by Item lol.....*Managing Project)

Currently I'm thinking what are my next steps in life...several goals to be achieved but unless I can multitask, they will be unable to fit in my Ideal Gantt Chart....Unaffordable to make unwise decision due to temptations~.

Just Blabbing

Am in the midst of studying Strategic Human Resource Management for this Firday's exam.
9 chapters, for a mere 2 hours. It's abit different from the way we are being tested in college as we can choose our preferred areas to focus (Bravo if you only study 3 chapters ~).

I LOVE study and not feeling stressed or bored of researching and understanding the knowledge being taught. Like the feeling of "Ding!" ~inspired by the explanations of lecturers where....it was like suddenly you can see the big picture and some sorta more in-depth understanding on a particular field rather than mere theoretical way of studying previously..can't actually describe the feelings by words....but I just HATE exams, which eventually not testing our understanding and ability to apply the knowledge but MEMORY! Was like 100 marks for HD drive-brain, 50 marks for 4GB memory bla bla...

Just a short break, since I'm studying HR now, a question popped up on my mind:

今年的生日 在飞机上过
蛋糕 也没吃到几块 （“益”了我弟弟咯:P）
生日和离家满一个月了
还没有让家人看看我的住处
原因是酱的 之前因为宿舍分配有了点问题
学校把我们原本的宿舍名单messed up了
我们这些迟到的人不能跟自己朋友一起住
有点不太高兴咯 煮食的分配我们都已经商量好了啦
后来 我们住不同的Flat
吃饭的时候
拿着刀叉碗碟king ling kang lang
走去别的Flat那里进餐哈拉
也是蛮爽的
所以觉得Settled down了 才介绍一下
我的宿舍 Atlantic Point的房间

一进门
私人厕所 衣橱 暖炉 书桌 杂物橱 床边橱
还有床和椅子
插头几个
电话一个 用来通知人出门 通知人吃饭的: P
讨论功课什么的超方便 反正不必收费

还好有热水器
很多朋友来到这里都皮肤敏感冒红点
Touch wood幸好我没中招
学校解释说是“...due to our hard water in uk...”
很窄下那个冲凉的地方
洗衣 冲凉 玩水
会撞到旁边墙壁
不过还好是私人的
因为我有某种程度上的洁癖

两个水龙头 热水很热 冷水很冷 （讲废话~）
应该是：热水很烧 冷水很冰 比较贴切
每次用都要一次过开两个 手要向左闪向右闪

我的窗口的view不错
不是面向大路 不会听见ang mo喝醉酒撞车的声音
又高居四楼 很有Privacy
有一点不好的是 每次下面有ang mo讲话很大声
不然就是过了半夜十二点还开音响
有些塔尔的人也是酱丢脸
妨碍本小姐睡觉
恨不得拿玻璃碟丢他们lol

据说本来这地区是工业区
看我们的宿舍也像是类似经过改造的

房间其实算不小了对我来说 可以在里面跑步neh
不过我没有那样啦:P
大部分人的床单是惨白色的
少数人像我们是有colour的

嘿嘿 酱比较有家的感觉哦

房里最赞的角度 很怕那些没有窗 不见天日的房间

。
这是离家最久的一次
不过奇怪的是 并没有很Homesick哦
也许有某种程度上的冷血
由或者是这里的忙碌 已经淡化了什么感觉
反而觉得当爸爸弟弟到外地公干旅行
我还会比较挂念他们咧
。
来到这里是很好的生活经验
第一次离家 衣食住行亲历亲为
虽然自己付不起自己的费用
但好歹也学习了些些精明消费
希望3个月以后
我已经不是那个
很没用 什么都不会的女儿和姐姐了
呵呵
